What a weekend it is,
but why does it have to end,
now why don’t we set a trend,
that weekends last for five days,
because the week is too long,
and there is not much joy in the working week,
and far too much wishing for it to end,
Oh, what a weekend it is,
with no rushing about and racing from place to place,
and how much better without far too many unhappy faces,
and far too many strains,
and without far too many irritations,
the weekend is,
and time is far too precious to waste on working yourself to death,
yes, why can’t we work for two days a week instead,
and why can’t we have five days to enjoy ourselves,
because mental health is very important,
and the cost of working five days a week is on our health far too extorionate,
and what an insanity it is,
yes, why can’t we work two days a week,
and have more time with our friends and our family,
because of bloody capitalism,
now what a silly Idea that was and still is.

“Alas the day, alas the night, when the voices cease, and the words run from the page, when the voices cease, and the words run from the page, when men, women, boys and girls are deprived through repression, oppression, racism and hate, and ill education of an age.”
