Wary of the dark

Wary of the dark,
wary of the light,
so you set a fire to warm your heart,
and you dance in delight,
knowing that no one can touch you,
no, not even the wolves that prowl,
not even the wolves that prowl,
and scare away the stars in the sky,
with their howls,
no,
by the fire,
you will be safe now,
safe now,
and anyhow,
the time is now,
the time is now,
to ponder life,
its meaning,
and its wrongs and its rights,
and in the moonlight,
philosophy,
let it be your sacred cow,
let it be your sacred cow,
far away from the cities,
and their vows,
their vows to not let you be free,
yes, revel in the light of the fire,
and philosophise,
and put the world to rights,
and do not think about the past,
but think about the now,
think about the now,
far from the stresses and strains,
mend your heart and your brain,
and let philosophy be your sacred cow.
