Ingrained in belief

We get so ingrained in belief, religious belief, and also the belief that certain ways of doing things are the only ways of doing things. And frequently because of this we do not think straight and we do not see clearly because of fixed beliefs.

The ingraining of beliefs and blinkered ways of thinking are detrimental to global society.

We get so ingrained in belief sometimes that we are unable to think outside of the box, and the only way of moving forward from being ingrained and entrenched and trapped in a box is by forgetting previous beliefs totally.

Human history is full of failure, full of mistakes, and full of tragedy.

If we are to avoid further tragedies we really should take notice of history more often.

The main reason we, humanity have survived this long is evolution, education, and luck.

If we didn’t have the Earth where would we be?

If we didn’t have evolution where would we be?

If we hadn’t learnt how to reproduce where would we be?

If we hadn’t learnt how to cope with childbirth where would we be?

If we hadn’t learn to express ourselves physically where would we be?

If we hadn’t learnt how to listen and understand where would we be?

If we hadn’t learnt to use our mouths to make sounds where would we be?

If we hadn’t learnt to develop language and speak where would we be?

If we hadn’t learnt how to write and how to read where would we be?

If we hadn’t learnt how to educate ourselves better where would we be?

If we hadn’t learnt about our environment where would we be?

If we hadn’t learnt how to build fire where would we be?

If we hadn’t learnt how to find food, water and grow crops where would we be?

If we hadn’t learnt how to find shelter and build houses to protect us from the elements where would we be?

If we hadn’t learnt how to defend ourselves from attack where would we be?

If we hadnt learnt how to protect ourselves against diseases where would we be?

If we hadn’t learnt how to treat the injured and save life, where would we be?

Travelling in South America

In a port in South America we arrived ashore from Europe,
and we went into a town and it was a little rough but we were there and we were happy,
and we combed the streets to find somewhere to sleep that night,
we combed the streets for somewhere to eat,
and we bumped into an old man trying to sell a car,
a rusty old car,
and he looked at us with a smile and he said in Spanish,
this is where you are,
but this is not where you want to be,
but this is what will take you far,
far across south America,
and I looked and there it was,
a rusty old car,
a rusty old car,
and along uneven roads we went,
and we drove up on high across mountainsides,
and we drove through the jungles, past fields if crops,
we drove as fast as we could and stopped alot to see what we could see,
we drove along with music and laughter and conversation,
and how happy we were to drive,
and how happy we were to be alive,
in our escapism from another place,
happy in our ecapism from another nation,
oh, the beauty of it all,
the beauty of the weather,
and the constant sun,
the constant things to fascinate,
the constant inspiration,
and how beautiful peoples smiles were,
and how welcoming they were,
and how shy,
and how inquisitive,
and how invisible we were as we travelled across South America in a rusty old car,
as we travelled across South America every night and day,
how glad were we to be away from the chaos and the pandemonium,
how glad were we to be free,
how glad were we to be travelling light,
how glad to be excited every day and every night with new things seen and to see,
and with so many new places that we had been,
how glad were we too to be speeding along as slowly as could be,
and how glad were we to be moving through South America oxymoronically,
and how glad were we to see the fields of crops, the jungles,
the mountains,
the villages,
the cities,
the culture and the history,
and how glad were we after a tiring day to dip feet our in the ocean,
and how glad were to see the sunset,
how glad were we as we stood at the shore as the boats bobbed across the horizon,
how glad were we to dust ourselves down and feel every bit a part of the place,
how glad were we with dust ingrained in us,
and with Earth covering us in more places than you could possibly ever believe,
and upon our arrival at the ocean,
we drank beer,
lots of beer and we listened to music and danced so happily,
and how we revelled in being totally free,
how we revelled in the adventures that we were having,
how we revelled in our escape,
how we revelled at the escape from the chaos of the pandemonium of our lives that we lived in Europe previously,
and as we stood at the ocean side with sore feet and weary eyes,
we were as happy as can be,
and in our memories,
what a jewel,
what a treasure travelling will always be,
and what a pleasure to remember too,
and what a great mass of happy memories and feelings,
what a great mass of happy memories of travelling across South America slowly,
in a rusty old car oxymoronically,
and how happy we were travelling all those miles,
and how happy remembering them all with smiles upon our faces,
smiles as big as can be.

Fancy meeting you

Fancy meeting you,
fancy meeting you on this rainy night,
fancy meeting you,
fancy us being here,
fancy us being here aboard this ship at this time,
fancy us being here stood at the deck of the boat,
stood here with the wind whipping around our heads,
fancy meeting you,
fancy meeting you on this rainy night,
fancy meeting you aboard this boat,
fancy us being here together,
exposed to the elements and because of the weather slightly wet and morose,
fancy meeting you,
fancy meeting you on this rainy night,
and where are you headed,
are you headed for a new life,
me,
well, I am off to find a wife,
me, well I am off to meet someone new,
for I am a little jaded of love it is true,
but I cannot be stuck thinking negatively,
I cannot be stuck thinking of the past,
and I, will only think of the future,
I will only be thinking of the future it is true,
for the future is much brighter than it,
and now how about you?
Where are you off to on this stormy night,
are you off shopping somewhere new,
or are you looking for love too,
or are you escaping your old life?
Did you have a quarrel with someone,
or are you trying to save your sanity,
for this world is a crazy world,
and sometimes and far too often,
don’t you wonder when things will stop going wrong,
and don’t you wonder when things will go right,
and when,
and when can we begin to achieve peace,
for there is far too little peace especially of peoples minds,
for what is life without peace,
without peace in humanity,
now, here have cigarette,
and let us go inside,
and let us drink,
let us drink to the future,
let us drink,
and let us forget the previous rough ride.

After the end

After the end,
after the end is nigh,
when you ascend,
when you ascend to the sky,
where does your soul go,
and do you after you depart,
do you cry,
do you cry,
do you in the afterlife,
do you cry when into the sky you rise,
when you fly up high,
after the end,
after the end is nigh,
do you cry and is your memory still alive,
as you float in the sky,
invisibly,
invisibly,
as you depart life,
do you depart in style and do you mind why,
and are you glad to be floating free,
and are you looking forwards to the future as you rise into the heavens,
and as you fly do you quickly arrive and slip into a new body,
and, do you begin life again quickly,
and where do you begin anew,
oh, what a mystery.

Meteorites and asteroids

Meteorites and asteroids,
for what are they employed,
are they designed by God to have any particular destination in mind,
because they fly seemingly aimlessly across the sky,
and they seem to just be going somewhere they have no clue of,
and where they are going I do not know why,
meteorites and asteroids,
for what are they employed,
are they designed by God to have any particular destination in mind,
but I,
I, do not mind because they are such a spectacular sight in the heavens flashing before my eyes,
and how fast they move,
and how smoothly they fly,
how smoothly they fly across the sky,
but what of the wherefore and tge why?
I do not know,
but I stare in fascination and get great inspiration as they cross the sky before my eyes,
and am left open mouthed and my heart it leaps at the sight,
and I thank the heavens and I wish could find out,
but they are gone so fast and in the blink of an eye.

On the horizon

On the horizon,
I see you,
and that is the best view for me,
because you are an anathema to me,
and I am sure that you annoy most people,
because from the grey clouds,
I would if I could run fast enough run from you to the otherside of the world,
and run rather rapidly,
much more rapidly than I can run from you,
but I do,
always want to run from you,
because the rain clouds they only depress me,
they truly depress me,
and how they ruin the mood of the day,
and how my heart it sinks and it drops,
how it sinks and it drops as if filled with rocks,
and how by god does it bring such misery,
such misery to me,
now, I wish I knew,
but the clouds they seem quite proud,
and they grow and they grow,
and I shout and I shout,
and I shout out loud,
and I wave my fists in the air in great despair,
and I tell to them to leave because I hate them with a passion,
and I would rather worship the sun,
of which I wish it wasn’t so rare,
but those clouds,
those grey sombre clouds,
for them I truly do not care,
I truly do not care,
and that is an understatement,
an understatement of the year,
and at those grey clouds,
at those grey clouds I swear,
I swear without a care,
and I complain to the air,
and I complain to the breeze
and I say can you oh breeze take them elsewhere,
because they drive me insane,
and I think that they like it that way
and I wish of them I wasn’t so aware,
because from them I need a holiday,
but wherever I go,
knowing my luck,
they would probably follow me there.

Such

Such mundaneness is not good for you,
and it certainly is not good for me,
and it brings such boredom,
such drudgery,
and such lack of interest,
and such nothingness,
and such emptiness,
and such unhappinness,
and no escape from inanity,
for it is what is,
and I do not wish for a whitewash,
a whitewash of all that I see,
because it is damaging to you,
it is damaging to me,
and I have wish to be bored to death,
and I have no wish to live with no inspiration,
because that would be the death of me.

In the arms of you

In the arms of you,
in the arms of you,
nothing matters,
and nothing is troubling,
and you,
you are as soothing to me as watching a river rolling gently past,
and you,
in the warmth of you how it fills my heart,
and in the arms of you,
what powerful emotions do play inside me,
what powerful emotions do play inside me like a whirlwind of happinness,
and with you there is no dark,
no dark,
just joy,
pure joy,
a sunshine of the soul,
and pure love,
pure love that makes me whole,
pure love that inspires me and ravishes me and enlivens me,
and captures my heart,
and how glorious you are to me,
for you of such beauty,
such spectacular beauty,
how intense your kisses are,
and how magically they transport me,
for when you kiss me there is no you and there is no me,
there is only,
only us,
there is only love,
there is only we.

Lofty heights

Lofty heights,
lofty intentions,
lofty thoughts,
high pretensions,
but what will be the reality,
will it be good for you,
will it be good for me,
for ideas and thoughts and schemes,
they do not rely on chance,
because chance,
chance it forms so rarely into truth,
and only by dedication and hard work will dreams become reality,
so, if you have high aspirations,
and fascination,
and inspiration,
and dedication,
and you do not rely on chance,
and you do not have the mentality of what will be will be,
with perseverance you will reach your goals and achieve your dreams,
but otherwise there is a very good chance that your dreams and goals will never be reached,
and your dreams will most likely never become reality.

What you said

What you said,
what you said,
what you said resonated with me,
what you said resonated with me,
and I, in a strange way quite agree,
never more you said,
never more for me,
for I cannot take it anymore,
and I am at my wits end,
and my mind has given up on world peace,
so I am off to start a war,
I am off to start a war you see.

Pain

Pain in the head,
pain in the heart,
eros’s broken arrows on the floor,
eros dead and trampled upon,
eros not so romantic anymore,
pain in the head,
pain in the heart,
and the heart broken into pieces,
and floods of tears,
floods of tears,
forming a rapidly rising pool of water,
a rapidly rising pool of water,
rising up to the ceiling,
rising high,
filling the room with rose petals floating in the water,
love no more,
love no more!
